The most part of Lefkada Island is mountainous, with highest point, the mountain Stavrota that reaches the 1182 meters. Around this mountain, there are other smaller mountains that reach up to the sea by creating sudden hills.

Narrow uplands in the mountains and slight plains lower, in different heights, from which the biggest is Basiliki, create exciting contrasts in the general place.
